Thea Harris was born in the Caribbean island of Antigua and grew up loving the stunning sunsets, colorful rainbows and breezy beaches. She also developed a love for music, and singing at a very young age with her two brothers and twin sister in an Acapella quartet. Thea sang with various Jazz, R & B and Reggae bands, and during that time acquired a great love for the freedom of expression found in Jazz, both vocally and instrumentally. This filtered into her songwriting style. Her voice is a unique combination of the smooth rhythms of jazz, the boldness of soul and penetrating depths of gospel. Thea is not just another gospel artist stepping into a music career, but an instrument of God, utilizing her gift to usher in His presence as she yields to the Holy Spirit in a lifestyle that is an uninhibited expression of worship.

Thea is currently working on her sophomore project INTIMACY slated for a fall 2014 release. INTIMACY will present Thea’s process of self-evaluation and her resulting desperate heart’s cry for more of God. The title single, “Intimacy”, was birthed by a passionate desire for a greater personal relationship with the Lord. Featuring production by Sean Scales, (Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, Lowell Pye, Quan Howell (formerly of Sounds of Blackness), and Angie Shields ) this reflective and heartfelt ballad causes the listener to examine their own personal relationship with God. “Intimacy” perfectly exhibits the unique tone and quality of Thea’s impassioned vocal delivery, one that infuses elements of both smooth jazz and gospel, reminiscent of multiple Grammy Award-winning legend Regina Belle.
