Stellar Award Winning Music Video Dir. Darryl D. Lassiter Featured in a one-hour special on “GOSPEL MUSIC PRESENTS”

Atlanta based film and video director, Darryl D. Lassiter will be featured in a one-hour special on GOSPEL MUSIC PRESENTS to air in over 90 US cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta and more beginning this weekend. The show highlights Lassiter’s 20-plus year film/radio/TV career focusing on his nearly 100 music videos. He has directed videos for various Gospel artists such as Shirley Caesar, Sounds Of Blackness, Vickie Winans, Creflo Dollar, Dottie Peoples and more including R&B, Jazz, Pop and Hip-Hop.

Lassiter has also directed over a dozen national TV commercials, several documentaries and made-for-TV specials.   After winning his first Stellar Award in 2004 ‘best music video’ for Vickie Winans’  “Shook”, Lassiter saw a need for his firm, DDL Entertainment, to dedicate an entire division to serving the needs of record labels and artists for their music projects.

He just wrapped a 30-minute television pilot featuring veteran R&B artists. He has risen above some challenging circumstances to become one of the brightest stars in the gospel music galaxy.  He began his career in television and radio in 1985 working at the CBS and ABC network affiliates in Montgomery, AL and the CBS, ABC & FOX network affiliates in Atlanta, GA. Darryl’s film career began in 1991 working on the set of CBS’ In The Heat Of The Night. In addition to his Stellar awards, he won the 2000 New York Independent Filmmaker’s award for his movie “Pay The Price” for best family drama – the first ever feature film written and produced about Black College marching bands which has spawned a nationwide media bonanza.

As a publicist for the last 18 years, he has guided well over 75 well-known recording artists, Pastors and Authors such as Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Paul Morton, Ann Nesby, Rance Allen Group, Deitrick Haddon. He has also been inducted into the National Black College Alumni Distinction Hall Of Fame and received a 2003 Lifetime Achievement Literacy Classic Award.
