Hit Songwriter David Bratton Invites You To Experience Every Praise Live
Minister David Bratton is a living witness to the reality of scripture that a man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. Every Praise, the worship song popularized by Bishop Hezekiah Walker and composed by Bratton has endeared itself to Gospel music fans across the world, spending more than 26 non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart in addition to earning a Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Song of the Year. On Saturday, October 25th, Bratton assembles a 200 voice choir and a host of worshippers for Every Praise Live, a Worship Movement Experience and recording session at York College In Jamaica, New York.
Bratton’s formal years were filled with music and the church growing up in Vallejo, California. Exposure to the music stylings and rehearsal habits of such well known mainstream artists like ConFunkShun, Larry Graham and Graham Central Station and Sly and the Family Stone would help to strengthen his music acumen. A decision to attend Benedict College would lead to him accompanying the Benedict College Gospel Choir during his college years. The doors of opportunity would open again as Minister Bratton met and befriended the Godfather of Gospel music, the late Rev. Timothy Wright, relocate to New York and join the ranks of the Timothy Wright Concert Choir. In addition to compositions for Wright, he has penned compositions on recordings by the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar Mass Choir, Vickie Winans and his own Spirt of David Chorale.
The October 25th recording will feature Bratton with special guest appearances by Dr. Kathleen Turner, Bishop Michael Blue, Emmanuela Young, Jeff Davis and others.
