A survivor can be defined as, one who has pressed forward in spite of trials, hardships or setbacks. No matter the setback, our ability to overcome and stand strong is remarkable and should be applauded daily.
On, Friday, October 24th, Gospel Artist Corey Barksdale will share his gift of music as encouragement to survivors and those walking in freedom during the Night of “Hope” benefit concert in Joliet, IL.
The Night of “Hope” concert is positive initiative, sponsored by, P.R.O.M.I.S.E. INC., whose mission is to raise money and encourage others to become donors to help save more those fighting Leukemia and other forms of cancer. The Night of “Hope” will take place at the One Vision Worship Center, 2701 Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL at 7pm.
Corey Barksdale’s music and participation along with other artists during the benefit concert, will help bring awareness to survivors of cancer and those in need of donors and support.

A Night of “Hope” is also an evening of Philanthropy, Music and Arts dedicated to the “Mel-Strong” Foundation. Mel-Strong was founded in honor of Mrs. Melanie Scott-Bennett who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on January 10, 2013 and today walks in total healing and stands strong as a survivor, healed and free in God.
As an Artist, Philanthropist and Speaker, Corey Barksdale continues to encourage others to remain true to who they were created to be, through his community work and music.
Earlier in the week, Barksdale will be the Guest Psalmist on Thursday, October 23rd during the “Power of Prayer” week along with speaker, Prophet Garelle Solomon at God’s True Love Outreach Ministries, 1618 W. 65th Street, Chicago, IL at 7:30pm.
On, Sunday, October 26th, Corey Barksdale will share more on identity and prayer as the Guest Speaker more on identity and in Chicago, IL at New Progressive St. James MB Church, 11 South Kedzie, at 3pm.
