On Sunday, June 23rd, Chicago Mass Choir will perform at the 28th ChicagoGospel Music Festival. The Festival is presented by, The Black McDonald’s Operators Association (BMOA) and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
The Chicago Gospel Fest theme is “The Year of the Choir” and Chicago Mass Choir will be a part of a lineup of phenomenal choirs on various stages throughout the city.
Chicago Mass Choir’s performance will take place in the historic Bronzeville community at Ellis Park, 535 E. 35th St. and they will take the stage at 4:40pm.
Gospel Music will be flowing and heard throughout the entire city during the Gospelfest weekend and Chicago Mass Choir is excited to contribute to the Chicago Gospel legacy.
Chicago Mass Choir President, Dr. Feranda Williamson expounded on the Chicago Gospel Fest Legacy and influence, “It is always an honor to be a part of an annual event that is sponsored in our “home” city of Chicago. The Chicago Gospel Fest has had a legacy of providing the “best” gospel music experiences to the community, and I am honored that Chicago Mass Choir has been selected to be a part of the 2013 Chicago Gospel Fest.”
