Over the years, award winning gospel artist Dr. Norman Hutchins has released some of the most prolific Sunday morning worship and choir songs in Gospel music over the span of his illustrious music career. With the release of his new “High-spirited” album “Hosanna”, Dr. Hutchins once again has created songs which give church choirs and praise teams the musical tools to usher in an atmosphere of worship by releasing an album of 12 songs that not only sound and feel good, but which also resonate with the spirit of its listeners.
When it comes to Gospel Music, there’s almost nothing Gospel music lovers enjoy more than the joyous sounds of the praise and worship team and the choir on Sunday mornings. Filled with songs that resonate with mind, body and spirit, “Hosanna” could easily be one of Dr. Hutchins best music releases to date.
Since its release, the album’s single Hosanna has gained favorable attention, and is already a top 30 Billboard Gospel Hit. It could very well be one of Gospel music’s more popular songs of this year. Upbeat and spirit-lifting, “Hosanna” is truly resonating with listeners as a proclamation of enthusiasm for vertical worship. “This single is a celebration of redemption through the life of Jesus Christ.” This one, for sure, will be sung in churches from coast to coast.
For songs, “All I Need” and “I Love You,” the vocal prowess of Grammy Award winning singer Regina Belle shines impressively.
The smooth background vocals on “You Brought Us Peace,” present a solid moment of pure worship on the CD. The song reflects the powerful message of giving, and will certainly resonate with those who are wholeheartedly seeking to give GOD a total praise.
The former Executive Minister of Music for the presiding Bishop of the Churches of God in Christ, Dr Hutchins released “Hosanna” on his own label IR Music Group. Hutchins garnered the assistance of the ingenious musical and production skills of Michael Bereal (Judith McAllister, Kurt Carr, Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin, Beverly Crawford). “My vision for this project is to help aide listeners in worship and that churches across the country would add these songs to their Sunday morning music repertoire,” Hutchins states. “I chose to work with Michael again because of his ability to interpret my music,” he continues.
Dr. Hutchins, who has become a mainstay in gospel, “contributes his longevity in gospel music to continually staying true to his calling, and only recording music that has been tried by a live worship service. With the release of HOSANNA, Hutchins’ goal is to give church choirs and praise teams that minister every Sunday morning, quality, impactful Life Music to choose from and to assist in creating an atmosphere of worship.”
“HOSANNA is true to the sound of morning worship, while at the same time embraces the new technologies in music.”
Overall the album contains a perfect mix of choir, contemporary and praise &worship songs… which are braided together favorably to add a new dimension to the Sunday worship experience.
