Bishop Larry D. Trotter and Sweet Holy Spirit Choir are havin’ church. On his newly released project, How Far Back Can You Go?-Church Unplugged-Vol 2., Bishop Trotter and his choir – along with several of Bishop Trotter’s friends – took a trip down music memory lane to put together an album that will bless listeners for years to come.
How Far Back Can You Go?-Church Unplugged Vol. 2 is an exhilarating collection of old hymns and songs from years past. The project will take listeners back to the memories of old time hand clapping, foot stomping, hand waving church. Listeners of all ages will enjoy these songs.
Several songs that are sure to be attention grabbers: “We’ve Come This Far by Faith”, “Glory, Glory Hallelujah” and “Shine On Me”, featuring Maruice Hyde.
Other songs worth noting are, “At the Cross” featuring the late Pastor Gordon Humphrey, “Come and Go with Me” with the Legendary, Leanne Faine, Pastor Jarvis Hanson on the incredible rendition of, “Hold to His Hand”, and “Traveling Shoes”, led by Pastor DeAndre Patterson.
“This is our 10th project,” Bishop Trotter says. “It is purest in nature because it gives us some of our hymns and songs that brought us through. These songs speak to our pilgrimage and theology. It’s where our history of Gospel music comes from, these songs will get you ready for worship and praise for Sunday morning church or where ever.”
